Headband Holder

Do you ever have problems storing headbands?  Well, this is a simple do it your self way to make a custom headband holder/ accessory container.

To make a headband holder you will need the following supplies:

  • two sheets of 12'' x 12'' scrapbook paper (any color/ design)
  • oatmeal container or other cylinder object the same size
  • Mod Podge (craft glue/finisher)
  • foam brush
  • hot glue gun
  • scissors
  • pencil
  • optional- glitter, buttons, ribbon
First, remove the label from the container and clean out the inside with a damp paper towel.  (This is important so the scrapbook paper will not bubble or crease.)

Next, measure both sheets of scrapbook paper to the length of the cylinder with about an inch extra.

Paint a line of mod podge down the container and carefully stick the edge of the paper to it.  Continue putting more mod podge on the container and wrap the remaining paper around the container.  Make sure to smooth out the paper.  Take the other sheet of scrap booking paper and cut a strip ti fit over the remaining exposed container.

After the container is completely covered with the paper, glue the remaining paper at the bottom of the container to the bottom of the container.

Now paint on a thin layer of mod podge over the covered container.  The helps to seal the paper on and prevent the container from future damage.

Once dry, the lid and container can be decorated with the remaining scrap book paper, glitter, buttons, or ribbon. Then, put your head bands on and enjoy!

Hair supplies can also be stored inside the container.

I hope you enjoyed this little project and let me know any of your comments, questions, or feedback
